ItsMyRayeRaye X ColourPop Collection | Swatches + Review

These products are only available until midnight then they will be discontinued, so I figure I had better get my review up. I've had these since the original launch when I purchased them, the price is $5-6 each. They were developed in collaboration with ItsMyRayeRaye, a beauty content creator, and are only available online.

 Rayezor Lippie Stix
 Rayezor Lippie Pencil
 Stingraye Ultra Matte Lip

 Rayezor Stix, Rayezor Pencil, Stingraye
Rayezor (liner on edges blended with lippie stix all over the lips)
Stingraye

  • Stingraye isn't as dry as the original formula, but it also more matte than their ultra satin formula
    • Wears all day without drying out the lips
    • "Cool toned mauve brown"
  • Rayezor
    • "Warm peachy nude in a matte finish"
    • The liner is a lot darker and more of a mauve than peach
    • Same classic beloved formula
    • Not so matte, still has some moisture
  • Wears an average ~6 hrs without liner but can do ~10 with
Overall, if these shades are the kind you like to wear then I would snatch them up before they disappear!

Anastasia Cream Contour Kit | Fair | Review + Swatches

There are many contour options from single shades, palettes, powder, cream, but rarely do they cater to fair skin tones. This cream contour palette is in the shade fair, retailing for $40. There are three highlight shades in the top row, and three contours in the lower row.

  • The consistency is creamy but on the drier side
    • Can mix with a facial oil if desired
    • Still blends out very easily on its own
  • I usually apply with my fingertips to desired areas and then blend out with a beauty blender
  • Soft Light is a more peachy pink "pale peach" toned concealer / highlight
  • Lustre is an iridescent clear shimmer "sheer porcelain"
    • Not my favorite shade since it is not intense enough as a highlight and the product still needs to be set in place
  • Fair is more yellow toned "pure sand" and is concealer toned on my skin
  • Fawn is the lightest cool contour "cafe latte" and is my preferred shade to contour with
  • Shadow is more of a bronzer shade, it is a warm orange toned contour "caramel latte"
  • Mink is the darkest contour "toasted almond" and is a bit too dark for fair skin, in my opinion
  • For a light natural contour do before foundation and then use a sheer foundation
  • For an intense contour apply directly after foundation and blend together
Overall,
I highly recommend this palette. It may seem expensive at $40 but due to the quality and shade selection I would definitely say it is worth it.

Lip Monthly June 2016 | Reviews + Swatches

My next bag is already on the way, but product reviews are always better late than never! Instead of immediately reviewing the products, this month I decided to take more time to try everything out. The bags retail for $12.95 a month BUT with my code BUDGETMAKEUP you will get 55% off your first bag! I do make a small commission per coupon use, but my review is as honest as always.
Here's an overview.
The contents total worth is $69.95 at retail price, and every product is full sized!
Be a Bombshell Lip/ Cheek Stick ($16)
In the shade sweetness
Blended, and unblended swatch
The shade is a warm coral with a touch of golden glitter
Jelly Pong Pong Lip Butter ($18.95)
The formula is very smooth and has a "butter" like consistency.
For being so smooth, it is hydrating but it also does not last all day.
For all day wear, I suggest a lip liner under.
Lip swatch
Peony Cosmetics Highlighter ($22)
Sheered out, and swatched
The product is very subtle, but the tone makes it wearable for all skin tones.
For a more intense glow, I would top with a powder highlighter.
Measurable Difference Lip Color Stick ($13)
In the shade Chrislie
The formula is very smooth and similar to the lip butter.
I thought the product would be sheer, but it still has decent pigmentation.
The color also leaves a slight stain behind, meaning the product wears well and evenly.
Lip Swatch

Overall, I highly recommend Lip Monthly. I am not just saying that because I am affiliated, code: BUDGETMAKEUP . Last month was my first month trying this subscription out, and I have to say I am genuinely impressed. For the price, the products (4 - 5) are all FULL SIZED! My favorite product this month would have to be the Jelly Pong Pong Lip Butter.

  • This color is described as a "True cool toned lavender"
    • Cool tone allows for teeth to not look yellow
      • Flattering
  • Average wear without the liner
    • Lasts all day, no touch ups, with lip liner
  • Similar to a limited edition Mac lipstick (Dodgy girl) but at a much more affordable price point, and still available
  • I highly recommend this shade for any skin tone
    • Perfect starter purple shade

The Body Shop: British Rose Collection and Lip & Cheek Stains | Reviews + Swatches

Hey everyone, today I have a set of reviews from the new British Rose collection and lip & cheek stains that were sent to me for consideration. Despite being sent these products, all opinions are as honest as always. The products here range from $16-30. They are available online, as well as in-store.

I was sent the British Rose Palette ($30), Instant Glow Body Essence ($25), and the new Lip & Cheek Stains ($16 each).
British Rose Palette
There are six matte eye shadows and two blushes, for day to night.
Soft satin pinks, and a blush with specks of glitter (that do not transfer).
All cool tones. Baby pink matte blush, and only the silver is shimmer.
Dark Cherry (018), Pink Guava (022), & Bright Peony (026)
Lip & Cheek Stains
Gluten-free, moisturizing, and claims lasting 12 hours.
Doe-foot applicator
Top-bottom: Dark Cherry, Pink Guava, Bright Peony
Top-bottom: Dark Cherry, Pink Guava, Bright Peony
After being removed with makeup remover
British Rose Instant Glow Body Essence
Light, fast-absorbing, non-sticky, and claims 24 hour moisture.

British Rose Palette ($30)
  • Claims the eyeshadows are matte
    • Majority are more so satin finish
  • Very very soft formula
    • Can create fallout
    • Blends easily
  • Pans create a hard pan easily
  • For the price it is lovely quality, but nothing too unique or special

Lip & Cheek Stains ($16 each)
  • The staining power is very intense (as seen with post removal swatches)
    • I had swatch stains for days, but it is possible to exfoliate the lips
  • The applicator is not super precise due to very watery formula
  • The darker the color the better stain and wearability
    • Wear even longer with a lip liner (also protects from bleeding)

British Rose Instant Glow Body Essence ($25)
  • I love this product!
  • Subtle shine that creates a lasting glow (no glitter)
  • Does actually moisturize the skin as well
