Ah lip liner, it's something that makes a bigger difference than you would think. If you've never used lip liner, or even if you have and want to pick up another--this one is a great find. This retails for only $1.49!
06 Satin Mauve
wood pencil
Dusty Mauve

  • Very creamy and smooth
    • Contrary to most wooden lip pencils
  • Long wearing
  • Can be worn alone or topped
  • Claims to be smudge proof
    • Not transfer resistant, but does not feather
  • Gorgeous mid tone dusty mauve
Overall,
I love this lip liner, and everything about it. The color is stunning. The formula is long wearing, and simply glides onto the lips. Let's also not forget that this costs only $1.49! So go pick up this liner, or even some of the other shades ;)

  • As you can tell by the way they stain they are very long wearing
  • Same formula as in 2014, which is different from the permanent line
    • Way creamier smooth
      • Not dry
      • Can stand to wear all day and not feel like adding a balm or something for moisture
        • Does wear all day (I have worn the ones from last year to attest to this)
    • I prefer this formula x100
      • I cannot stand the original formula
  • I would skip Celeb Sighting if you have Sunset Siren from last fall
    • All the other shades from last year are very different from this collection
  • The shade nightcap reminds me of the soon to be released Colourpop Grunge
  • Vintage Vibe is much like mac rebel (Do not own or I would compare)
Overall,
If you see any shades you like, hunt them down before they are gone! I love this formula way way more than the original, and am so glad to have found all the new ones. My personal favorite is probably Vintage Vibe, but I am also kind of digging the way nightcap looks. I'm not so sure if I can pull of Coffee Buzz, but if you are into vampy lips--get it gurl! :)

Nyx Control Freak Eyebrow Gel: Review + Demo

Eyebrow gel is something that is usually overpriced, or goes crunchy. *Spoiler* This product is neither of those things. This brow gel retails for only $5.99, and can also be found on sale.
Standard Mascara wand like brush
Before (lightly filled in)
After (complete with brow gel)
  • I have naturally longer eyebrow hairs, and I don't trim them for fear of sparseness
    • This leads to hairs sticking out of the natural brow shape
  • Sticks down brow hairs fairly well for not being crunchy
  • Completely clear
Overall,
There isn't much to say about this product other than it is affordable and gets the job done!

bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss in Hypnotist: Review & Swatches

In honor of the Kat Von D transforming liquid lipstick making a come back, I thought I would review this lipgloss by bareMinerals. It retails for $18 and can be found anywhere the brand is sold.
They now have two other shade shifting glosses.
Iridescent topcoat
Worn alone or layered
Pale purple to coral-peach to gold pearl
Stunning packaging to let the gloss show it's colors
They neglect to mention the other colors like teal that it shifts to
Doe-foot applicator
Can produce too much product, or even leak, due to bad stopper
On the skin it's mostly clear with mostly the peach showing through

  • Sorry I forgot to take lip swatches
    • Shows up the same as in arm swatches
      • Mostly clear, little color
  • Not too sticky
    • Only enough to last more than an hour
      • Not an all day wearing gloss though
        • Leaves no stain or color behind
  • The color looks more stunning in the tube than on the lips
  • Claims to be a hydrating formula
    • It is not drying
    • Would not apply for moisture unless over a dry lip product
  • Horrible packaging...leaks everywhere until maybe 1/3 of the product is gone
  • Minty scent (infused with peppermint oil)
Overall,
If you take makeup pictures like me on a media like Instagram, this is lovely for that; However, for the average person this can turn into a mostly clear mess. I wouldn't recommend this until they change the packaging to something less likely to leak.

Colourpop Lunch Money Super Shock Cheek Highlighter: Review + Swatches

If you've read my other Colourpop highlighter reviews on Hippo and Stole the Show, then you'd assume this review would sing the praises again. This is a correct assumption, and once again for $8 you can't go wrong. Colourpop is only available online, but the shipping wait is worth it.
4.2 g / .15 Oz
Ingredients
Can't depot. Must keep closed when not in use.
"Soft light gold with a reflective golden duo chrome finish"

  • Two swatches to show subtle duo chrome, as well as a blended swatch
  • Super smooth, almost cream texture
    • It's a gel consistency that does set
  • No issue in fading
  • No glitter particles, just one uniform texture with a sheen
  • Wearable soft gold
    • Gives the same effect as the more popular gold tones, but this is a more subtle alternative
  • Doesn't over emphasize pores
Overall,
This has the same texture as the others; just as smooth as Hippo, and slightly smoother than Stole the Show. The color is good for pretty much every skin tone, not too dark for fair skin. It blends down to a soft sheen than can be layered for more intensity, or topped with another highlight.

Wet n Wild Eyeshadow Trio- Walking on Eggshells

So I remember when everyone on YouTube go on and on about these eyeshadows. I had the smokey one for a Halloween costume and thought it wasn't that great of quality. I wanted an adorable option like my beloved sin eyeshadow from urban decay so I decided to pick this up. It was around $3, and can be found at every place wet n wild is sold.
The back shows a very cut crease look that doesn't really look like what the shades look like on the eye.

Here it is in all it's glory!
The walking on eggshells trio!
Be careful with the "safety seal" it chipped my nail.
Here it is without the plastic masking the colors.
Browbone-A shimmery but not frosty cream shade that also looks nice on inner corner
Crease-A satin almost shimmery coppery brown shade
Lid- A gorgeous pink champagne shade that looks stunning on everyone
And the best part? Here is Urban Decay Sin swatched next to the wet n wild! Very similar. no need to pay the $20 price day when you can pay $3 and get two extra shades thrown in!

•Very buttery and pigmented
•Not as much fallout as expected
•Pretty blendable
• The look this palette creates is a little to shimmery for me
•The lid shade is a dupe for Urban decay sin!

E.l.f Eyebrow Kit in Light: Review & Swatch

You know you like a product when you hit pan. I took these pictures months ago when I first bought this product, but since then I have been really enjoying it as well as another brow product. Since this is from elf it is very affordable, only $3.
I bought the shade 'light'
There is a gel and a powder (and a useless too soft brush)
The gel is cooler toned, and the powder is too orange for my complexion and hair color

How to use:
I use an angled brush (not the one included) to dip in the gel side and apply all over both my brows. Then I take a spoolie to blend the product out and make my brows look natural. If the powder was your tone then I would take a different angle brush and apply that, and comb through my brows again.

Review:
  • They have a good shade selection, not just one color
  • The powder in this duo is too orange for me, but the product is smooth
  • The gel does not stick my brows down well but it does last all day, and it looks very natural
Overall:
If you are new to brows and want something easy, then this is for you. For more experienced brow product users, this may be a nice base for other products. If there is a shade for you, pick it up and try it out. For $3, it's an easy to use, buildable product that applies sheer to good brow coverage. If your brow hairs need to be completely created, not just evened out, then this might not work since it isn't an intense pomade or full coverage pencil.
