Cover Fx Total Cover Cream Foundation: Review

I walked into sephora telling myself that I didn't need more foundation...then a lady who worked in sephora insisted on color matching me. When she did she told me that I should try Cover Fx for my sensitive, acne prone, skin. She claimed it would even help my skin, and not irritate it at all.
I got the cream formula

  • Clinically tested
  • Without many bad ingrediants
  • Full coverage
  • Foundation and concealer in one
  • Broad spectrum SPF 30
  • All day
  • Radiant finish
  • Revitalizes appearance of skin
  • Protects with age defying benefits
As you can see there are a lot of claims...

It comes in a basic little compact saying the brand name on the front.
Only here does it say that you may have a serious reaction to it .
I am in the shade N10
  • Very pricey at $42
  • Less product than a standard foundation only .35 oz
  • Cream product
  • Weird almost plastic/ plant smell
  • I have had this for about a month, and am almost out :(
  • Does not last "all day", To make it last I have to (on oily skin):
    • Use a primer/ setting spray before
    • Apply it with the Real Techniques sponge
    • Use a setting spray (Nyx Matte)
    • And use a powder (Elf Hd)
  • The "radiant" finish is very very dewy so good for dry skin
  • Not quite "FULL Coverage" unless you layer it on, which causes you to use it up quickly
  • It is quick to dab dab dab all over the face
  • It does color match me VERY well
Overall, it is a good everyday foundation...but for the price...skip it. BUT if you have like the most sensitive skin like me NO IRRITATION OR NEW BREAKOUTS!

Tarte Matte Waterproof Bronzer: Park Ave Princess

  • vitamin C
  • mineral pigments

  • phthalates
  • sodium lauryl sulfate
  • synthetic fragrence
It DOES contain:
  • mica
  • silicons (dimethicone, silica, etc.)

claims to be waterproof
Has a little mirror.

  • Neutral tone, good for contouring
  • too many silicones for my sensitive skin
  • less orange then NYC sunny bronzer
  • Very pigmented

Bronzers, highlighters, and blushes! Tarte, ELF, Benefit, & More

Warning: This looks like more makeup than it actually is. This is my blushes, bronzers, and highlighters. At the end of the post I am showing what I gave away and why.
A mix of high-end and drugstore.
Multi Use Products:

  • Physicains Formula "Vegas Strip" Shimmer Strip. A highlighter/bronzer/maybe blush.
  • Elf Contouring Duo in "St. Lucia"
  • Sephora Summer sheets, I got these on sale a while ago so they probably don't make this anymore

  • Tarte Park Ave Princess Matte Bronzer (not as cool toned as it looks in the photo)
  • NYC Sunny Bronzer

  • Elf Luminous (Discontinued I think)
  • Mini Stila Kitten Duo
  • Elf Baked Blush in "Pinktastic"
  • Mini Benefit Highbeam
  • Deluxe Benefit Sun Beam

Blushes: (The lighting couldn't handle all the pink oops)

  • Tarte blushes (top to bottom) in "exposed" "captivating" and "dollface"
  • In the back, elf blushes in "Twinkle Pink" and "Mellow Mauve"
  • Maybelline Bouncy blush (not sure which shade)
  • Elf  "Peachy Cheeky" Baked blush
  • Maybelline Master Glaze in "Pinched Pink"
  • Benefit "cha cha tint" and "posie tint" deluxe sizes

What I gave away:

  • The Elf contouring duo and twinkle pink blush. Too much glitter for me
  • Sephora shimmer sheets- I just never reached for these
  • NYC Sunny- A bit too orange for my pale skin, also may have made me break out
  • Maybelline Master Glaze (glitter and broke me out)
  • maybelline bouncy blush (not much color, didn't reach for it)\
Also not pictured:
  • Benefit sun beam, great for tan skin not pale skin

Lord & Berry "Scarlett" Lip Crayon

I wore this today and I can already tell you this is a positive review! I think these retail for around $10 maybe, but I have no idea since I got it in my hautelook set.
It is a matte lip crayon, and the packaging is a matte finish as well.
This is in the shade "Scarlett".
It is a true, bright red.
  • Wore all day long without touch ups
  • Starts off normal but dries matte
  • Very creamy- no tugging
  • Not drying to the lips, they almost moisturize
  • No idea where these are sold (If you know comment please!)
  • Overally AMAZING! I love this more than my revlon matte balm
  • It stays perfect without breaking up/ cracking on the lips
  • Does NOT get on teeth

Pop beauty "Pouty Pop Crayon Set": Review

For my birthday one of my friends got me this lovely set. I have seen this brand at my local rite aid but I do not know where else Pop beauty is sold. And I totally thought I published this review, but I guess I didn't.
Cute flowery packaging containing 6 "Pouty Pop Crayons".
The colors are : Barely Bitten, Apricot Adore, Coral Crush, Petal Passion,
 Rose Romance, and Fuchsia Flirt
They range from hot pink to nude to coral
There is a good amount of product, pretty standard
Top to bottom:
  • Fuchsia Flirt-  wearable bright pink
  • Rose Romance- rosy brown nude. The lip color version of Tarte Exposed blush
  • Petal Passion- very very sheer light pink, so sheer it is practically clear
  • Coral Crush-  vibrant buildable coral
  • Apricot Adore- orange- peach similar to Coral Crush
  • Barely Bitten-tan/ brown nude
Which do I recommend: Fuchsia Flirt, Rose Romance, and Apricot Adore (worn this the most)

I don't recommend: Petal Passion (too sheer) , or Barely Bitten (too brown for my skin tone)

Overall: I will be getting a ton of use out of these, they are nice for a sheer moisturizing tint especially in the summer. They have a slight plastic-y smell that does smell once on the lips. They wear surprisingly well for a lib balm feeling product. Over a lip liner they last all day long with no sign of wear.

PS. Some of my images were lost, therefore the swatches no longer exist. They swatch like a sheerer version of the product.

Physicians Formula Shimer Strip in "Vegas Strip": Review, Swatch, and Demo

This is my FIRST Physicians Formula product. They are priced (in my opinion) to high for the drugstore, but  40% off at rite aid( last week or the week before)  made me want to at least try something.
This is one of the "shimmer Strips",
it was so hard to choose one since they all looked so pretty.
It claims to be a Bronzer, Blush, and Eye shadow in one.
It has a clear acrylic clear casing.
I got the shade "Vegas Strip"
It has a whole .3 oz
And it is made in Italy
The lighter shades are not as pigmented, and the second to last is the most pigmented.
All swirled together
Can you see the slight highlight the top colors give?
I prefer matte bronzer and blush but this is a stunning highlight.
  • A little sheer for an eyeshadow, but it does work
  • Can be used as an overall bronzer for glow
  • Too bronze for a blush (In my opinion)
  • Super glow-y
  • Packaging feels sturdy
  • Great affordable (when on sale) highlighter

Lip Crayon Collection: Revlon, Pop Beauty, Jordana, Etc.

The next "collection" post in this mini series. All of my lip crayons.

All of my revlon ones.
I posted a separate review on each one last week each day.

All of my pop beauty ones, they came in a set (from a friend)
and it came with a free gift of an additional bright pink one.
(Full review on this set is also posted now)

Jordana-I like them but do not love them. Especially the color selection is not my favorite.
Covergirl- Too waxy for my liking
Neutrogena- Has glitter? You don't notice until it is worn off, but it smells amazing!
Elf-Not long lasting, the ones without glitter are nice. Minty smell and taste.

Don't need the extra pop crayon.
Neutrogena has too much glitter.
The elf, is getting old and used up...and it doesn't last long enough

Revlon Romantic Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain : Review

Last one, completing revlon balm stain week, is another red.

Who loves red lipstick, but hates the maintenance?
This is a red, long wearing, comfortable lip color.
This is a true red, a classic "Romantic" color
  • Minty scent
  • I can wear this all day without needing to touch up
  • Not drying at all
  • Dries down to a natural finish
  • Bold but buildable color
  • Makes teeth look whiter

L'oreal Collection Privee by Julianne Lipstick: Review + Swatches

This limited edition lipstick has been out for a while now. It is supposed to be a nude lipstick from L'oreals Collection Privee. This is Julianne's nude. There was a lighter color like a baby pink, and the darker colors were more mauve.
It has matte black packaging, that does get dirty quickly.
It does have L'Oreal engraved into the bullet, and it does have a stunning gold tube.
Sheer swatch
Layered swatch
Lip swatch

  • Buildable color
  • L'oreal scent
  • Wearable light pink almost nude
  • Coordinates well with multiple colors
  • Cute packaging, better than normal L'oreal packaging
  • Perfect shade for me
