Rimmel Airy Fairy Lipstick (70): Review & Swatches

This is about a $5 lipstick that can be found often on sale or with coupons.
The packaging is standard Rimmel, with the slanted top.
This is the shade Airy Fairy (070).
It is not matte, not cream, and not a shimmer. Like a luster but opaque.
It is a very neutral pink with a hint of mauve.
In some lights it is pink, others slightly brown but wearable. Either way I love it.

  • Different Rimmel Scent- Like cinnamon
  • Doesn't emphasize dry lips
  • Doesn't dry lips out
  • Lasts for a very long time (Hence lasting finish lipstick)
  • Lovely finish

L'oreal Infallible Eyeshadow: Amber Rush: Review and Swatches

This eyeshadow gets a lot of hype and it seems everyone owns it, and I can already say it's worth the hype. It retails for about $6-8, but can be found on sale.
They claim to be 24hr wearing eyeshadows.
When stored upside-down you can see the color.
It has a little stopper to keep the contents pressed down.
The product is like a pressed pigment, and its creamy without being a cream shadow.
Swatches:

  • Copper rose gold color
  • Creamy formula -which leads to great pigmentation
  • Smooth formula, reminds me of smashbox
  • Can be a little messy- so keep the stopper on
  • Worth the hype
  • Affordable
  • Slightly bulky container, but the product will last a long time

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Liners: Intense Black, Midnight, Moss, Dark Brown

Great great deal at nordstrom rack. Remember the stila kitten set I blogged about a few weeks ago, well I found another holiday set! So call your local nordstrom rack to see if they have any in stock!
Can you guess whats inside?
Back during the holidays it was $39 but its down to about $23 now.
Here's what it looks like without the cardboard
The examples are a classic winged liner (in the cat eye style)
or amp it up with a double line (A colored line above the black).
There is one full size and three deluxe sizes.
The colors are Intense Black (full size), Midnight, Moss, and Dark Brown (Deluxe).
They all have the same felt tip (that is actually FLEXIBLE!)
Top 2 Bottom: Intense Black (A classic black); Midnight (A true blue not navy); Moss (A mossy sage green); Dark Brown (Not a dark but not a light brown, a true brown).

  • The kit is a great value, the black alone is $22! So for $.97 more you get 3 deluxe sizes
  • Wearable tones, no brights
  • SO easy to use
  • Flexible tip that glides evenly
  • Long wear
  • Waterproof
  • Easy to remove with MAKEUP remover

Maybelline Color Tattoo: Caramel Cool Spring Limited Edition: Review and Swatches

I finally found the Color Tattoo in Caramel Cool. It was about $8 at walgreens.
It just has the standard packaging in a little jar.
Storing it upside keeps it fresh and you can see the color.
A gorgeous caramel color that isn't too orange.
It swatches creamy just like the othes. It has no glitter just a slight metallic sheen.
  • Same longwear formula
  • Great base (under any shade like L'oreal amber rush)
  • If you find it GET IT
  • Unique shade
  • Only for spring

Wet N Wild Comfort Zone Palette: Swatches & Review

I picked this up yesterday since Wet N wild was 40% off making this $3! It retails for $5 but usually there are coupons or sales.
There are 8 shadows and a double ended sponge/brush. No mirror just a plastic lid.
It is sealed so that you know that no one messed with the shadows. This is the neutral comfort zone palette.
There are like two mini palettes in one. Each side can be used to crease a look or you can mix and match using different colors in this or other shadows.
The browbone, eyelid, and crease are all soft shimmery shades that are very true to the pan.
The Definer is a matte deep brown (darker than the pan) with glitter in it.
Browbone 1: A shimmery off white almost yellow shade.
Eyelid 1: A rose gold shimmer that is creamy and so smooth.
Crease 1: Shimmery slightly warm brown. Reminds me of the crease shade in the walking on eggshells trio.
Definer 1: A deep matte brown, slightly dry, with some subtle silver glitters.
The second half has a shimmery browbone, eyelid, and definer shade.
The crease shade is another matte (dry) shade with some unnoticeable glitter.
Browbone 2: An almost silver taupe shimmer shade. For me it is a better eyelid than browbone shade.
Eyelid 2: A wearable light green shimmer. Smooth and silky.
Crease 2: A matte blackish shade with a lot less glitter than it looks like in the pan.
Definer 2: A lovely shimmery duo chrome. A red toned brown in one light and a blue green in another.
Here's a better picture to show the duo chrome.

  • Shimmer shades are high quality and very smooth
  • The two mattes with minor glitter are a little on the dry side
  • Obsessed with the duo chrome can't wait to use it on my eyes. Reminds me of the one in my smashbox palette.
  • Includes a rose gold shade!
  • very affordable

Rimmel Black Waterproof Gel Liner: Review & Swatches

If you have trouble with liquid or pen liners I recommend trying a gel liner. Here is a classic black liner from Rimmel. recently they Re-did the packaging but I still only see this kind near me.
It has the funky triangle like shape that can be hard to store.
It look a little dry but still very black.
The cap pops off to reveal a little built in brush.
If you use the brush to mix up the product it turns very liquidy and creamy.
Here is a swatch using the built in brush.

  • Very very black
  • Waterproof when it sets
  • Creamy when mixed otherwise slightly dry
  • Easy to use...But I recommend using a finer brush or angled brush
  • They have a new kind out now
  • Affordable
